Making Progress-ish
Wowza! What a day! I feel like I made so much progress today with how the homepage looks, and its starting to look vaguely like the vision I have in mind. I'm deffo well impressed with myself Obviously its still under construction as of right now, but hopefully once I nail the layout I can start adding the cool fun bits. Wish I had a screenshot of what it looked like yesterday for the sake of comparison, but jsut know it was very much just the first bit of code that neocities gets you to put in, plus the background in yesterday's blog. I'm chuffed with the table layout and the colour and the background, it's really beyond anything I thought I'd be able to achieve ever let alone after just a day. I haveCodecademy to thank for the massive leap in quality, it's definitely the type of learning that suits me best: interactive and hands on. this is what the site's thumbnail looks like as of today :) However!!! We still have a bit of a way to go yet. Even trying to get this blog to look the way I want it to look took some fiddling around, I'm not sure why somethings work sometimes and then not when you copy paste them. Learning curve tho. Happens Also tragically had to delete the comments section on yesterday's blog. Thought it would be a fun little memento to leave in to remember when things wouldn't work for me but ultimately I decided to take it out as I didn't want the site potentially getting reported for errors. But anyway that's mostly what I've been doing all day, but I have to say that I'm getting really excited about all the indie web and web revival stuff (i know there's a difference i'm just not sure what it is). I've been surfing sites, watching youtube videos, I've been counting down all day to writing this blog and thinking about what I'm going to add to the homepage when my coding is up to scratch. I feel like there was a lot more that I wanted to say but I kinda forgot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. My boyfriend is visiting over the weekend so I'm not going to have the time to edit the site but I'll post a blog on Monday hopefully. Sin é! immediate edit: scratch all of that why is the layout table sitting huge on the background i want to be able to see the pretty flowers i chose (T~T)
